Dear Mary,
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how wonderfully Fable-Sable as we call her is working out.
Firstly, she saved my life – I was walking her along the road where we live -along this road is a berm about 7-8 ft high about 2 ft from the road. All of a sudden I heard growling and look up and there was a bear about 2 ft away from me. Sable and I backed up slowly across the road showing (outwardly) no fear. Then the bear started following us-All of a sudden Sable started making very loud screaming ,chortling Basenji noises and the Bear ran away!!!!
Needless to say I bought her a steak! We love her so much!!!!! It’s hard to remember what it was like without her. It is the highlight of my day when I come home from work and she greets me!
