Rosie

Hello, Mary:

I was just browsing on Petfinder.com, and saw some of your listings, and thought of you.

It was almost six years ago that I contacted you regarding a lovely St Bernard dog named Rosie. We had a little Westie at the time, and were looking for a Scottie (to replace the one that had gone to her reward after 12 years of faithful service), and I saw Rosie’s picture and fell in love. This August it will be 6 years since we brought Rosie home.

Rosie is still very much alive (at age 11), though a bit blind from cataracts, and a bit arthritic. She still walks about a mile each day (sometimes more, sometimes less), and is about as healthy as an 11-year-old St Bernard can be. She gets along with the two Scotties we adopted last year (ages 8 and 11), and is a wonderful member of our family. She is truly the best dog I’ve ever had, and I will cry like a baby when she goes to her reward.

I just wanted to say thanks for helping us to find Rosie, and to help so many others to find their own “best dogs ever.” I wish I had some spare cash to make a donation (I lost my job last August), but the least I can do is say thanks, and keep up the good work.

Warmest regards,
